this last week we had the boys check ups! they are doing great and growing strong!
it was quite an adventure taking you two to the doctor. you each had a few shots. and surprisingly didn’t cry at all. well except sam, that last one had you pretty mad.
sam, you are growing like crazy your two month stats were
11 lbs 8.5 ounces & 22.5 inches long
around the house stats..
you r e a l l y like to be held. you love your mobile. you have a sweet little coo going these days. we are about to start the cloth diapers now that your thighs are filling out a bit more. oh my, i adore you.
jack, your stats are
29 lbs & 35 inches tall 🙂
my b i g boy!
your vocabulary is blowing us away. your new phrases are
“hey whats this?”
“hey look at this”
” mama, daddy come see!”
and my favorite…
“hey what’s that sound?”
you have us laughing every time you say “ughhhh maudie!” you have become very active and you are really exploring with your imagination. today you had your stuffed animal puppy sitting on the small potty while you were on the big one. ha. speaking of the potty, you are doing great! i couldn’t be more happy with our training days at home. it has gone much smoother than i anticipated. your cousin joshua came to visit the other day and you were so excited to tell him you were going potty. it was pretty cute.
so not much else going on here. samuel you still sleep off and on all day. a true cat napper. but at night you have been blessing me with some long stretches of sleep.
we are working on your tummy time. you have been a pro at lifting that head however, you aren’t always a fan of this position. jack, if i could ever get you to look at the camera again! i get nothing but blurred action shots or you looking away. this is as good as they get lately!
to wrap this up… i am so lucky to spend my days with these two! cant get much better than this ….

t w o months already? you are growing big and strong and simply irresistible.
at t w o months you are starting to talk a little more and even add a few grins. sometimes they can get pretty big . . .
melt. my. heart.
you go to bed about 11 pm and wake up around 3 and 6. when brother comes in we start our day about 9am. well jack and i do, you usually get that extra hour sleep in during that time.
since your christmas er visit, the doctor told me to just make sure you are eating. well i think the pictures show you are doing a really good job of that! you are still a pretty quiet little guy but when you get upset you go from frown to the loudest scream with no wait time at all. you love to be held facing out and looking around. or looking over our shoulder. i think you might be a cuddler like big brother.
your two month check up is in a week, so we are anxious to get your stats 🙂
we love our little buddy sam!

you are one of a kind. daddy and i can’t go through a day without saying what a great kid you are. you are now 27 months, if we want to be exact. you are saying full sentences for sure. almost talking too much sometimes. 🙂 some of our favorite things you have said lately . . .
when walking into mama and daddy’s closet while i was cleaning it out… “wow look at all dis tuff!”
showing us tricks on your bike… “hey mama, daddy ook at this!”
when trying to calm samuel down… “it’s ok tam it’s ok tam!”
or my personal favorite when giving him his grover you say “it’s okay tam grover oves you!!”
you love to give every toy you can fit on his bouncer or swing…
you have been such a trooper staying at home with mama until you and sam get better. we have occasionally gone out for some drive-through. anything to give us a break right? you have been quite the picky eater. but you are still a great napper. you are still obsessed with anything cars or umizoomi. recently you have been singing a lot. you count from 1-10 all by yourself and are a pro with your shapes and colors. i’m hoping to start putting together some activities to get you more familiar with your letters! you started potty training this week. i’m a little unsure of what we are doing but you have proven to make this pretty simple for us too. we hope we can continue to improve on it and be diaper free sometime this year.
we love you jack jack.
ps. your toosh is the cutest in character underwear.

well since the exciting beginning of the christmas season and the crazy events of christmas eve and christmas morning, we have taken the doctors advice and have stayed put till our boys get better. cabin fever? yes. but we have also had sinus infection fevers too. it hasn’t been fun. so we will make the best of it and enjoy each others company and the great home we have been blessed with until jack’s horrible cough is gone, and samuel is in the clear. they both have appointments in a few weeks so we are hoping for good news! there is so much going around lately, going out with them really isn’t worth it. we have enjoyed daddy’s extra days off in between the holidays.
we lit our first fire in the fireplace and celebrated with smores! then we had our own little new years eve party together.
we went ahead and set up the camera for some photographs to remember these crazy days. we will not forget how much you giggled at the timer jack. you did not want to stop taking pictures. you thought the “beep, beep” on the camera was hilarious. you sure are a cutie!
here’s to another wonderful year!
happy new years

the last post this mama could do was on the old blogger. daddy splurged this Christmas and spoiled mama with a hard copy of the old blog. it is beautiful! I never have been more in love with a book.
the last blog ended with sam being o n e week old. now he is s e v e n whole weeks. it has been a busy time for the family. we will try our best to get caught up here. samuel you are growing like crazy. we couldn’t imagine our family with out you. we are all so in love with you!
sam you turned 1 month and to us, you still seem so tiny! you get up about 2-3 times in the night ready and hungry. your cry has gotten a little louder during the day. we were concerned you had a little bit of reflux but luckily nothing ever came of it. you have started giving us tiny little grins occasionally. jack loves his “tam” he gets excited to tell you things that are happing and always asks if you are “awake?” we are so excited to see you guys become great buds!
oh yes and you lift your head like a pro!
around sam’s 1 month birthday, jack was diagnosed with bronchitis. it was not fun. jack you have never been really sick. ever. this time you were on an antibiotic for a week. i realized how bad it was when the end of the day came and i had no toys to pick up. poor little man. after that antibiotic was gone, you were definitely back to yourself.
that following week we celebrated our f o u r t h wedding anniversary. that dada is still a keeper that’s for sure! we then got ready for Christmas and family visiting. kent and kindle came into town and stayed with us for a few days. it was just as much fun as the first year. i hope we can make it a tradition. i just love it! we celebrated the baptism of mr. samuel fulton with our closest family it was such a beautiful evening. father flagg is such a blessing to our family.
samuel, you slept the e n t i r e time. complete opposite of our baptism experience with brother jack. you are something else little love.
we had a wonderful reception at granny and gramps’ house afterwards with dinner catered and all. it was a great kick off to christmas eve!
the next day these two were adorable together. i had to share this picture that dada took.
it’s been such a busy and fun few weeks!

christmas 2012 was one to remember. after the celebration of samuel’s baptism we continued to celebrate some more! it was our first christmas as a family of f o u r. and it was a christmas where jack didn’t look to often at the camera 🙂 he was just a little busy with his cousins, how could you blame him?
after christmas eve mass, we dressed the boys in their christmas pajamas. i just couldn’t resist your pajamas mr. samuel.
then it was on to eating some yummy snacks!
we tried out all the traditions of past christmas eves, holding on to the main one, the youngest opens the first present! we had the most fun with the newest tradition started by our teenage girls, clapping after every gift was opened. it was pretty funny.
syndey loved her sling for her baby!
jack you were so excited for your thomas the train engine!
isaac and jack excited about their aggie gear!
the best part of going through the hundred + photos . . . somehow in all the craziness this year, i was able to capture each one of us mamas in the family with a truly excited look about their children’s gifts. i think they are so awesome. however, i’m not sharing all of them because i also know i have sisters who will call me and tell me to take their picture off of here. however, kindle your picture took the cake. i love it!
most of the time we had to go grab the younger baby boys to come back inside to open gifts. they were perfectly content playing together elsewhere.
absolutely love these two..
the kids went to bed rather late that night with a movie. then it was time for some family games. the best one this year, headbandz! the guys then left us to play some 42.
that evening as we sat around playing our game sam laid next to us sleeping. as the night went on we noticed he started to snore louder and louder. by the time he woke up for his feeding he had a terrible cough and his cry was so quiet.
our plans quickly changed that evening and granny took us into katy memorial hospital. luckily he tested negative for rsv and the flu. however, they gave him a steroid shot to calm down his croup and sent us by ambulance to texas children hospital a little further up the road. this was not how we expected to spend our babies first christmas. daddy and i waited for the doctor to come in the room. we weren’t seen until about 9:30 am and the doctor basically gave us all the worse case scenarios. not exactly what we were prepared to hear. but as she left the room she turned back around and said
“but it’s going to be okay it’s jesus’s birthday, he wont let anything happen to him”
wow. as shakin up as i was over the whole night and then her diagnosis, those words were surely what i needed to hear. god is so close! we were so sad to not be home when jack saw the goodies that santa brought him. my family said he slept in and when he came out, all eyes were on him. they were able to snap a few pictures as well.
they sang happy birthday to jesus just as granny has them do every year. it is the sweetest thing. again so sad that we missed it.
gramps came and picked us up when we got discharged and we came home to see a very happy jack. everyone had already left to go to their inlaws so we didn’t get to say goodbye like we were wanting. we got a little nap in and packed up to head back. nana, papaw and uncle albie came over that evening and brought us dinner and were able to stay and open gifts as well.
sam stayed quarantined in the sling just in fear of getting anything else.
it was a very special christmas over all. one where we definitely took time to count our blessings.
merry christmas 2012
