everyone is sharing first day pictures of their kids at school. i’m just spending my day soaking up every bit of my babies as babies.
literally 🙂

oh baby boy… you are a complete joy!
twenty- one months going on two very, very fast. you have mastered the “joey” just a little at gramps and granny’s house. you go forward…run into something and say “oh!” and hit it in reverse. i think you just love switching gears. 🙂 you are refusing to sit in your high chair. you demand a chair at the table and take full advantage of getting up and down. you do a great job of eating all your food though. this last week, you began really emphasizing the “ack” on jack’s name. it is beyond adorable. you love calling for him. “ja – aacck!”
other words you say in no particular order…
“bouble” – bubble guppies
“i” – sam
“daddy” “mama”
“ma-e” -maudie
“joosh” – juice
“bye” “hi”
“nini” – minion
“me me” – more
“yay!”
“cheese bur bur” – cheeseburger
“ah-men” – all done
“tee” – brush teeth
“eye” – eyes or glasses
“bu—ckkk” – bug
“oosh” – shoe
“ja -shhk” – trash
really you surprise us every day with a new word or sound 🙂 i think you surprise yourself.
you are just a tad addicted to bubble guppies. you are full of life. everything is exciting. you skip, run and jump with everything you do and your hair bounces to the beat. you can always put a smile on our face… even when we try to discipline you. we love you like crazy and are excited to see the accomplishments you make before you’re the big t w o. but for now just holding on to my little one year old 😉
love you bud.

oops.. your candles might have almost set our hobbit hole on fire… luckily we made it through. {cough..cough} the next morning was a whole other kind of adventure…
saturday morning, we set out to spend a full day at the children’s museum… along with the rest of the city. 😉 two things daddy loves, his boys and science. this mama was just a little excited to meet super why! someone had to be …
our smart shoppers had no problem clearing the whole cookie aisle. thanks samuel…
it was a great day together! we ended it with dinner at the hobbit cafe. It was a neat little place, however, i think they could have borrowed some of our party decor… just sayin 😉

nah, more like best friends 🙂
my sister came home for a few weeks and we celebrated the whole time! i can’t imagine the memories that were made for these little guys these past few weeks. gramp’s yard took a beating but i think it was totally worth it. if you’re looking for a story about our non-stop three weeks, well it is, as always, best told in pictures…
can you tell i just wanted to capture their whole visit? these kids were inseparable and that was my absolute favorite part of holly’s visit. how blessed are we that basically eight kids under the age of eleven were completely happy for three weeks straight. so sad that this means another summer is coming closer to an end but as always we can’t wait to see what next summer has in store for us!!
we miss our cousins already!
