already august ?!
august is an exciting month. it is so so hot, but we know the summer is coming to an end so quickly. so we cram all the fun we can into those past few weeks.
we celebrate daddy’s birthday and our close friends! we start preparing for a new school year.
this year was exciting for all of the above because 1. we now live close enough that we CAN celebrate our friends birthdays 2. daddy turns 35!! and 3. the boys start the new school year with a new school.
max and anna kate y’all are along for the ride with me this year and im really looking forward to it. im only hesitant about being in the car those two days with maximilian. he is not a fan of car rides. at. all.

maximilian! it was your first fourth of july and our first to celebrate in our new neighborhood. we love being able to walk to the park and for the fourth we decorated your wagon and marched on over for some yummy food music and games. in our true family fashion we came home and watched the pbs special because, well we don’t have many firework fans in this house. samuel came out to the end of the drive way after bed time to watch some with me. he loves to take a chance for one on one time but also this year after a couple of them he admitted he is a fan of fireworks but some are just a little too loud. ๐
besides a fun fourth, we took the opportunity this summer to kind of start a little fun night out occasionally. some friday nights we went up to grimaldis and enjoyed a family meal together and then walked over to the pavilion to walk of the pizza, let the kids burn energy and also listen to whoever was playing that evening. it made for some simple summer night memories as a family.
max you are on the move! you love playing with your brothers and sister and especially hanging out in her room! everything really is fun in pink. your smiles melt us and everyone tries to be the one to get you to laugh. one thing that makes you different from the other kids is you. love. your stroller rides. that alone is a life saver when going out to have fun. you are always along for the ride.

anna kate frances is f o u r
little miss! how is our baby girl a little, big girl already! you have grown so much this year in ways i don’t need to share on our blog {let’s just say we look forward to getting you into dance classes as we promised if you would fully cooperate with potty training. hooray!}
you have grown into the best big sister for maximilian and honestly the funniest sister the boys could ask for.
your joyfulness is contagious! we enjoyed celebrating you with family and friends on granny’s birthday with a princess party {she was so kind to do that for you!) and then more family on your actual birthday.
you are daddy’s sweet pea and my girl. we love you anna kate frances!!

vbs 2 0 1 9
nothing beats these hot summers when for one week, sometimes two, the kids get to spend it out in bc with their cousins, to terrorize gramps yard and eat all of grannys macaroni and cheese and frozen breakfast pastries. oh and most importantly learn more about their faith. my goodness it is special, especially when they teach us throughout the week as well.
this year they learned the marvelous mysteries of the mass. and the little girls went to grannys vbs to learn how to be little marys. the attendance rate wasn’t too high on a few of those days. we had some great laughs.
we are so blessed to continue to learn and practice our faith, with our families and to enjoy having gramps and granny continuously open their home to a level of crazy i never knew their home could hold. ๐
we are already counting down till next year!

that ol’ frio
just what i wanted for my 35 birthday was worth the wait for my 36th. we took our family back to concan. this time with neighbors. the kids had as much fun as us parents. we made great new memories and as always didn’t want to leave. we made it to an ice cream shop and garner state park to dance the night away. samuel had all the girls asking him to dance that night. he was intrigued but was able to offer them a glow bracelet as an offering for declining. maybe next time girls. xoxo
first flight
first flight in the books for maximilian! the weekend of mamas birthday we flew out to north carolina for camryns graduation. it was a quick trip just me and you. we flew with gramps and granny, dana and bailey.
you were really a trooper! i couldn’t be more proud. it was on this trip that you had your first non stop giggle! bailey had you belly laughing. so adorable. you got to be the “babe” on chads bike and we had such a great visit with them!
i flew out of town at 35 and came back (gulp) a 36 year old. luckily these sweet kid faces help me stay young…
