i’m just going to let the pictures tell the story…
okay, well let me just go grab a tissue. i know this little girl’s mama already did 😉

easter weekend was not as sunny as we hoped but we made the best of it! we were so blessed to go to the co- cathedral downtown as we have the last 7 + years and see some of our closest friends. god is so good and allowed us to run into some of our favorite priests as well 🙂 it was so good to catch up.
jack, you made your first wish in a fountain. one of those moments i realized, “oh goodness you have never heard of this before!” so you and samuel were excited to pick out a coin from your backpacks and throw it in. afterwards you asked me what you wished for. i’m not too sure you caught on to who was doing the wishing 😉
the next day we enjoyed a little more sunshine the forecasters didn’t predict. we hid some empty eggs in gramps and granny’s backyard to practice hunting 🙂 you guys loved it!
that night before it got too late, we started decorating eggs. i think it was too late for samuel, he fell asleep watching “woof” aka 101 dalmations. jack, after a long day, you were in a daze. you enjoyed dyeing the eggs alot more than coloring them.
alleluia! HE is risen as HE said!
easter sunday morning was filled with excitement over what was in your easter baskets and excitement that we all got out of the house happily dressed in time for mass 🙂
boo the rainy weather, indoor pics just aren’t as springy….
even though i was bummed about the weather, i wanted to run out in the “mist” to catch a pregnancy picture. ha this is oh so natural… i didn’t even think of the background. oh wells we tried! everyone says poor number three….
samuel loved his “mi mi” egg. he did not want to let go of that little minion. sorry buddy it wouldn’t smell too good after a while.
the winlands came by to celebrate with us! they brought eggs for the big kids to hunt. that was a site to see 🙂 teenagers running around the wet backyard all in search of those golden eggs…
jack, you got some good practice in with your new jump rope … while granny and bailey had some good laughs.
after a great sunday afternoon nap, the sun came out and we enjoyed trying to walk off all that easter candy …
it was so nice, daddy was able to schedule some houston meetings on monday so we stayed one more night. the next morning was aunt dana’s birthday. erika and bailey kept the boys for us so we could enjoy a little shopping and a yummy lunch! it worked out so perfectly!
a very happy birthday and many blessings to you, dana, in this next year! thank you for letting me spend the afternoon with you on your actual birthday. i love being able to visit you and granny together, it’s a one stop shop and i always leave with a very full heart and extra laughing lines 😉

ohh how can our sweet erika be 17? we made a little trip out to bc to celebrate with her! she is so blessed to have such wonderful friendships. i just love watching her grow up!
oh did the boys love your party, erika! chocolate cake and endless oreos…
we enjoyed a little r&r at gramps and grannys and on the day we packed up to leave we had a surprise visitor …..
yeah i’m pretty sure you four babies were melting our hearts by the minute. thanks for the surprise visit/play date abbie! the boys enjoyed it and it was just enough to have them fall asleep on the trip home 🙂
we are getting more and more settled in to our new home. the weather has really turned the corner this past week and it’s been nothing but sunshiney days! i’m hoping to take pictures of the house soon, but for now i feel like we are guest ready 🙂
last week papaw and nana came to visit. the first day the weather was a little gloomy but the boys wore them out inside the house just as well. the last day the sun came out and it was beautiful. we went out to show them the park and the boys explored their little hearts out. thank you for visiting papaw and nana the boys loved every bit of it!

oh you know, a whole month! i could break it down post by post… but i don’t know if i have the patience. it was hard enough to be away this long. so i came up with the top 10 events that can happen in just a month. it may be picture over load but that’s what i love most anyways 🙂
10. before halloween weekend we met our sweet friends out at blessington farms! i want to go back already. we could have spent all day on those slides!
9. jack attended his last cgs class. oh such great formation he received. we are sure missing these great people!
8. we went trick or treating one last time in our neighborhood. we sure missed daddy this time. we even had our pumpkin pizza. mama found out it is very hard to trick or treat and hand out candy at the house at the same time. our little referee was blowing the whistle and taking all the candy he could get.
7. sweet samuel turned the official t w o .. we celebrated with getting a birthday blessing at gramps and granny’s church and then meeting nana and papaw at the park. he was so excited they brought maudie along to play 🙂 we headed to san antonio to spend the weekend celebrating with daddy! so proud of our big boy!
6. we had our 4 year and 2 year old check up and a sad goodbye to the only doctor the boys ever knew… he was a great one 🙂
5. we said goodbye to the best first house we ever had. such wonderful memories! we moved in as a family of 2 and moved out as a family of 4 🙂 it couldn’t have been more perfect!
4. we lived in bc during our transition time thanks to gramps and granny and dana and mike for putting up with us so long. it just made pulling the band-aid off that much harder..
i also was blessed to spend a weekend retreat with the best friends a girl could ask for… it was not so silent but we had a number of excuses 🙂
3. on november 17 we closed our our new home! we feel very blessed for this smooth transition and beautiful house we can now call home!
2. luckily once we moved, it was only a week before we went back to bc to celebrate the baptism of sweet emily grace!
1. we celebrated a wonderful thanksgiving with the new sweet addition to the family!
*bonus news*
our new house is looking a little cozier with christmas decorations instead of boxes galore 🙂 i don’t have many pictures of it because around this crazy month my camera lens has taken a turn for the worse. however, i have a wonderful sister who let me borrow hers after thanksgiving… so a new post will follow soon!
until next time… promise it won’t be as long as last 🙂

four years? it seems like just yesterday us mama’s were trying to satisfy our candy cravings together…. well maybe it was 😉
as soon as i got back from oklahoma we met up with miss sienna to celebrate her fourth birthday. panda style 🙂
such a simple and fun afternoon! thank you for sharing your special day with us sienna! and an extra thanks to nadia… my kids never knew they could actually ride a carousel, until that day 🙂
happy birthday sweet sienna! we love watching you grow!!

so i may share too many. but just look at this cutie and her parents! a week ago we got down amongst the ants and the stickers for just a few photos … but it was so worth it! wait till little joseph sees the amount of love and the sweet smiles that are awaiting him!
something tells me… he is going to be pretty adorable!

these little ones had the museum all to themselves today…
the vet clinic was a hit! we couldn’t get enough of them loving on these little animals. they couldn’t get enough of shoving the little animals into their kennels. who knew closing kennel doors could be so fun! 🙂
jack, you made me so happy today. you were such a good example for the little ones. we had so much fun finding new things there today. on the way home i asked you what your favorite part of the museum was. you said “going on the elevators.” i said “are you serious?! out of all we did at the museum?” you sweetly said “well we did do that at the museum!” 🙂
a little dance off to end a fun morning morning with friends.

they are back! { and we are so excited!} we celebrated jude’s first birthday as he had such an exciting first year!
it was such a fun day! i can’t believe how fast a year goes by. it was so precious to watch jude and all his excitement that day. later that day i messaged nadia, thanking her for a wonderful day and i hope she enjoyed that sweet sleeping baby on her… she said that was the highlight of her day. “he had too much and came to me for rest! talk about learning about God through our kids…”
happy birthday sweet baby boy!
