fall season came quickly with all the activites. it was a great season overall. the boys were able to play football with classmates and neighborhood friends. this league they play in has been such a blessing. rugby was fun as always for daddy. no injuries so im a happy mama. we enjoyed a few games before baby sister shows up! the teammates he has are amazing.

surprise, surprise!
our fall birthday bash for the boys turned into a weekend surprise for them instead.
we took a road trip to take the boys to see dude perfect with their cousins in oklahoma. i’m not sure who had more fun, the boys or us mamas. it was so much fun. we would do it all over again if we could. the smile on these sweet boys faces just made me melt. the little girls were in heaven just playing together at the house. icing on the cake for maximilian was hanging out with the college kids in dallas not only on the way up to oklahoma but also on the way back home. this pregnant mama couldnt make the long drive home 😬
i love watching your relationships with your cousins get stronger and stronger. you kids are so blessed to have them.
jack anthony is eleven
im not even sure how i feel about this. time flies when we are having fun with you buddy. oh you are such a great kid. you are still quiet but want to be part of every conversation with a listening ear. you are a huge help around the house. you really try hard to help me keep things they way mama likes them. you are always help prepare lunch and dinner and recently has helped watch maximilian when i take anna kate to dance. It’s just like 20 minutes but it is a huge help. you love a good themed party. you requested another car birthday this year so we tried our best and joshua was able to join us.
you are getting older and of course the days are getting busier and maybe its just that i really enjoyed the quick party we threw together. lasagna and cheese cake was the request for the newest 11 year old in the house.
happy birthday bud! what would we do without you! here’s to another great year ahead for you!

training the mind, forming the soul…
so much growing going on
maximilian is getting ready for his role as big brother! i could listen to you talk all day little buddy! you are going to bed all by yourself and currently still taking most naps except on school days, that gets tricky. you are still team peppa pig and you climb up in our bed and watch it with us every night before bed. you snack all day and don’t eat much with us for dinner, somehow you consistently get away with this. you make me really miss the boys being little. you are so much fun!

school days . . .
a new school year has started. we have a fifth grader, third grader and first grader. you can count maximilian as teachers distraction … aka helper.
excited to start this new year. jack you have become more and more self sufficient, samuel is still mastering it but enjoys memorizing his poems 🙂 anna kate it’s your first year and you are excited about it all, mostly meeting new friends. maximilian doesn’t bat an eye when we leave them on campus, he’s happy to do his own thing, mostly play with playdough endlessly.

anna kate frances! we celebrated your birthday in gulf shores with all your closest cousins. so i feel like we didnt get to do the big big parties we always do. spoiled much?!?
you are a climber at the park, a bike rider, dancer, lover of all animals and babies. you love good food, helping me bake, playing in your room and your favorite saints are st. frances “for granny” aka “cabrini” and st. philip neri. this year is such a big year for you! you will attend school with the boys as a first grader! you are so excited, it makes us so happy for you! these next few months will be the last of you being the only girl. we are so beyond excited for you having a sister! its the best gift in the world. you have a lot to show her! we are currently working on redoing your room so you can share as sisters 🙂
we love you and are so excited for this year!

life is beautiful . . .
we’re all in the same boat . . .
we did it! after much anticipation we were able to get together this summer and head to the beach! jack and samuel we might have lost you and your cousins to the switch and raiding the pantry at times, while anna kate was busy playing with emily and ella taking over the rooms and balconies. yall enjoyed fishing a little bit with kent and riding the waves when they got a little rougher. emma was there to take you to the pool at the end of the week. maximilian you were pure joy to watch out there. i’m surprised you didnt grow your own fins. you tried to swim away from us any chance you got.
we celebrated many things. josephs graduation, granny’s birthday, anna kates s i x t h birthday and even bryans birthday. we celebrated mustaches, no sting rays this year and happy toddlers in the water. thirty five of our favorites all together, we definitely missed the missing seven. we are so blessed to be able to do what we did! god is good! already looking forward to the next time we can sink our toes in the sand together.

summer road trip
we headed to kansas city! it has been years since we have been and definitely years since mama has traveled by car up there. i braved it. it was so great! we had many stops and adventures along the way. we stayed in arkansas on our trip up there and we were able to stay with holly and her family on the way back in oklahoma. it is so neat to see all the different sites our beautiful america has to offer. we ran into some pretty amazing people along the way too. people offering to help us and then a breakfast covered by a sweet couple sitting near us. people are pretty amazing if they choose to be. 🙂
mama enjoyed keeping the kids at kindles fort while daddy went out and helped with the firework tents. jack and samuel helped on a occasion too. it was crazy over there so they say, but i don’t know how it compared to the crazy at her house.
